Get out of your head and into your heart

People in today’s day and age are stressed, with worry and anxiety being at an all-time high. We live in a fast-paced society where we move from one task to the next, always busy and often over-worked.

Unfortunately, our minds are beginning to function in the same way as we move, and we’re just as busy internally as we are externally. Our minds race from one thought to the next, causing imbalance and affecting our mental health. This inevitably leads to imbalance in our bodies, where our physical health also becomes affected.

We often search outside of ourselves to find a solution for what’s causing our stress. We can get caught up in trying to change what’s around us to fix the imbalances happening within us, but this isn’t the answer. What’s happening outside of us will always be out of our control.

The solution is easier than we would think. We can train our minds to be still, and we can take control over the emotional reaction that follows an unsettled mind. Happiness in our everyday lives is attainable when we begin to have the simple awareness of what’s happening in the mind and start to live from within.

To live from within is often thought of as some sort of wizardry, where we must be like Buddha and spend countless hours meditating and sitting in silence. It’s usually associated with being highly evolved, and the ways of attaining this seem out of reach for the majority of humans.

The reality is that we all have the capability to find happiness and peace no matter where we are in our lives, and we don’t have to quit our jobs and spend our days at the monastery to achieve peace. Living this way is to have the awareness of what the mind clings to, and the ability to let go of what doesn’t bring happiness. It’s to live from a place of love, where negative thoughts and emotions cannot exist. It’s to know that peace exists at all times, because it comes from inside of us.

We all have the ability to live this way, and the seven steps contained in this book are a roadmap of how to get there. Feeling more happiness in our everyday lives is a choice that we get to make.

Inspiring others to live from the heart in positivity, kindness and love.
